Printing Tips
This block is printed without supports unless you scale it very very big. Original size and smaller will scale fine without supports. The question mark comes out great on virtually any size.
Using 15% concentric infill is recommended for additional weight. This holds the ornament better in place on the tree. I recommend if you use a silk filament in your bambu or other high speed printer that your outer layer is 50mm/s and 2000 acceleration for the best surface. I also use the silk filament at 250c when printing on my bambu. I also use a traditional filament setting vs. the silk settings in the bambu slicer as the volumetric flow is higher for other filaments. The Low volumetric rate is designed to give a good silk shine but this affects printing speed so using a 50mm/s outer layer is a way to get around that and will print considerably faster.
This was intended as a multicolor print. I am willing to make it a two part print upon subscriber request. I used polymaker gold https://amzn.to/3SNRiab and cotton white https://amzn.to/3MKxUH5. Purchasing through these links helps support my free model development with commissions earned.
You will need string or an ornament hook to finish the piece.
When it comes to hardware, I rely heavily on Bambu Lab 3D printers. My A1 Mini https://rb.gy/uofj5 is a staple in my office, while my fleet of X1C Carbons https://rb.gy/9r2az ensures rapid and high-quality production. #ComissionsEarned which help support my free model development.
